Review on Solar Drying in Nigeria

Nigeria, as one of the countries in African continent has its challenges regarding to agricultural crops cultivation and preservation methods. Traditional methods preserving are commonly adopted by local populace over solar dryer appliances. The reason for these includes being cheaper method, does not require much technical know-how, is easily learnable, area drying crop produce unlimited etc when compared dryers that needs materials be fabricated, required little or medium knowledge financial requirement fabrication which could range from few dollars thousands dollars. Solar working principles, components, various classifications, mode air movement heat transfer were discussed on this article. article also reviewed some experimental researches Nigeria carried out scholars. review published works under different techniques carefully studied. results showed that, significant have been even though potential greatly under-utilized due factors militating against it.
